The dunes are ride at your own risk, and damn near anything goes. If i were bringing children make them wear helmets and stay with them. Not saying its super dangerous but you always have one idiot out there. Great for a day or weekend trip. Most of the people out there are nice and are just out there to have fun. Holidays are crazy. Not the best of time to ride if you like to ride alone. Halloween weekend there were 750 bikes at the dunes. Parking was at a premium. That wasnt even the busiest holiday. Memorial Day and Fourth of July get packed. I ride there every other weekend with my brothers and cousins. My bike is down for now but I might have it back together for New Years weekend. If I do I will be riding that weekend. The cold doesnt bother me. The summer heat hurts.lol

 

Me and my crew are thinking of coming up from Slidell for New Years. Is there going to be a huge show up? We were out there for 4 days last 4th of July. We only like the drag racing. We will have a few Curtis Sparks bikes with us.
