I am in fort lauderdale and am wondering where there are any places to ride. What kind of riding? big open areas or trails? What kind of bike would be best to buy?

THeir is a place in palm bay florida that is alot of open area called the "compound". If your lookin for a plce to jet ski and ride their is a spot by BCC in Palm bay not the best for jetski's or ATV's but it's a mixture of both. Palm Bay is just south of Melbourn, if you want some more info about any of those places let me know.
A warrior or 300EX are great begginer bike's, but it all depend's on if you want a clutch and what feel's best to you.

 

I ride down in the Homestead and South Miami area, but will travel to meet up with riders. If your looking for a ATV to buy, start by thinking of what kind of riding you want to do(MX style , muddin or both), and then also consider your age,weight and stature, this will help you choose the right type and size ATV. Also get your hands on as much info. internet/literature/magazines as you can read, this is what I did and decided on a '03 Yamaha Limited Edition Raptor. If I can be of more help let me know? And when you finally get one let me know and will meet up sometime.

 

well i rode an 86 honda 250 something or other this weekend. It was clutchless. I liked that but i havent ridden one with a clutch so I dont know if i want one with or without a clutch. I dont know what type of riding we will be doing. Just playing wherever we can. If MX means racing, no i dont have plans for that. I know there arent any good places to jetski and ride quads down here. I was thinking more in central florida. there must be some lakes up there that you can ski and ride atv's. i was thinking of something we can camp at for the weekend.

I live in Miami, and there are a couple of places that I know of. ONe is in Miami. TAmiami trail (US41) (S.W 8 street) and sw 162 ave, more or less. There's a lake out there where the ski could be ridden, and there are some great mudding trails. When it's dry, you can get a 400 ex out there. Mostly 4x4 riding though. Definately decide if you want to go fast and stay dry (sport bike), go fast and get really muddy (Big bore 4x4), or go slow and get muddy (inexpensive 2x4 or 4x4). There is also another place that I know of. It's called the squares and it's about 30 minutes from naples off 41. There are great trail rides, for sport bikes or 4x4 bikes. It only has canals so very limited jet skiing, unless you want to fish. Great fishing and hunting out there. If you want some more info, let me know.
