Hello All!

I am new to the forum (And Fort worth)
And I wanted to check out some new riding places.
I have been to marshall creek park and it was OK, a little on the small side with not to many trails. Me and my brother like the trails and I have not found any in the area.
I had heard about a place in Weatherford called "Flying P" Park?
Has anyone been there?
Also curious if Texas has any rail trails or scenic trails in 10-50 mile lenths?
Not really into serious mudding as we both have 2X4 Scramblers but we do enjoy the occasional dip into a pit here or there.
Thanks for any info anyone can provide.
Roger

GO STARS!!!!!

Flying P, is pretty cool but you should also check out Rocky Ridge and Red River also known as Muenster. Rocky ridge is my favorite due to the different terrain offered. There are also numerous MX tracks that you can ride on.

Welcome fellow Texan
I agree, Rocky Ridge is beter than Flyin P. My friends had planned a trip to Muenster( Red River cycle trails) Easter weekend but I found out yesterday that theyre having a cross country race that weekend, only racers and spectators allowed.
Im trying to figure out where to go instead. If we go to Rocky Ridge I'll give you a holler.

Hello Ronnie and All,

Where is rocky ridge?
I live off of I-35 in north fort worth and would like some directions to this area.
Is it a controlled area? (Fees and stickers and such?) or is it a public land area?

Thanks for all of your help!
Roger

Easiest way to get there: I35 North to Valley View. Take 922 west to Era. Turn left onto FM 51. Rocky Ridge is on the left about 6 miles. $8 per person. Open weekends only. See www.rrdr.org

Another way is 455 west at Sanger. Go through a couple little towns and turn right on 51.
