First of just let me say that i dont know who techtip is but that's ok. I dont post enough here to know alot of people. But i am always browsing around. Anyways some close places that i ride are mostly out in Granite Falls. There is one place that everyone calls the Five thousand Rd. Its ok its like open rd riding and then you go off and find a pit. Then there is another pit out on the jordan rd. Other than that i go to Reiter pit. I have never heard about this track by the school. There is a track in Monroe if you want to race. I raced a friends banshee once. its in the arena at the fair grounds.

 

Moses lake use to be fun in the early 90's, now its terrible IMO..

116th by Marysville was ok till the Indians shut it down.

 

track in monroe? is the one you're talking about the one you go behind the prison to get to? that's 'sky river motoplex' or SRMP i haven't heard much about it lately, it's not cheap to ride at $40 and it's just a practice track.

 

No the one i'm talking about is actually at the monroe fairgrounds. The races (flattrack) are located in the arena. Sorry about the confusion. I raced there one time last year on a friends banshee. I have heard about the track behind the prison but i heard it was really exspensive so i have never gone. I also heard that it was for only motorcycles too. Is that true?

 

I am pretty sure that its motocycles only..

 

WarriorQueen---You are right on the money. In the winter Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe has Flattrack races for quads as well as bikes.

How did you do on your Banshee? MY 6 yeatr old wants to race there next year.

Moses lake is ok, but small. There are no dunes....there are some sand hills....but certainly not dunes. IT's hot dirty and full of white Trash...
To ride there you have to be pretty tired of your local spots.

 

That is a pretty harsh comment about Moses,,,,,for a guy who is heading there on Memorial Day weekend, and hopefully waiting up for me!! Did you have a change of heart.

Actually I read this, the morning of our trip to Moses (having just shotgunned a pot of coffee) and plan to begin packing to leave by say noon or so, with Techtip, If I havent missed him already.

That place was a zoo. I had a great time. I t was great to see you guys again. Sorry I didn't make it on Monday. we ened up going out on Sunday night and didn't get home until 5:30am. Needledd to say I was moving kind of slow on MOnday.
