I live in Florida and will be camping in and South of Smokey Mountains National Park this July. I desperately want to do some riding in hills. Can anyone give me some leads for good atv'ing in these areas? Does NC require a nonresident fee to ride?

There will be riding just south of where you are going to be. Look for info on Tellco.

While you can't ride in the Park, you go south into the Cherokee National Forest and ride at Tellico.

You can also go just North of Knoxville and ride at Royal Blue Wildlife Management Area or if you drop me a line I'll let you know if our club has a ride that corresponds to your trip dates.

There is nothing that we enjoy more than introducing flat-landers to mountain riding. How would you like to start your ride with a 3 mile climb? And when you get to the top, the views are absolutely spectacular.

Drop me a line and I'll see what I can do. And if you like the riding up this way, we have two large organized rides per year. We'll cover 55 to 65 miles per day riding both Saturday and Sunday. Check out our web site for more info.
