Weekend ride in Sherbrooke, Quebec
Hi folks,
I am organizing a weekend ride for you guys in Sherbrooke, Quebec (30 miles north of the VT border).
The departure will be friday the 7th of march in the Sherbrooke area around 6h00 PM. After a 4 hour ATV ride, we will arrive at base camp, a sugar bush cabin in the woods, about 60 miles from Sherbrooke. The two story cabin has room for approx. 15 people to sleep. A few beds are available, the rest of the people should bring an inflatable mattress.
Saturday the 8th, we eat breakfast at the cabin, then we ride all day, doing a huge loop in the local trails, stopping only to get food and gas in small villages or to admire the landscapes. We should travel around 120 miles that day. We go back to the cabin for one more night.
Sunday the 9th, we eat at the cabin, relax or do a small 1-2 hour ride. Before leaving the cabin, if the tempature is right for the cabin's owner to boil maple water, concentrated maple sirup will be served on the snow (yum yum). We then head back for a 60 miles ride back. Arrival in Sherbrooke is expected before 6h00 PM.
If you want to see pictures of the cabin or surrounding landspaces, go to my web site
http://www.multimania.com/jackrabbit/quads and click on both rides labelled "...Tingwick...".
You need a Quebec's trail pass for the ride. It is only 100$ CN, it is valid anywere in Quebec's 10,000 miles of summer/winter trails until october 2003. They can be purchased directly where we park the trailers in Sherbrooke, friday the 7th.
To ride in Quebec, there are basic requirements, these are detailled in the following post: http://www.quadnet-ca.net/phpBB2/vie...?p=13448#13448
Cost for the weekend should be less than 60$ US per person, including two nights sleep in the cabin, two huge breakfast, drinks and snacks at the cabin, maple sirup on the snow, a local guide (me), and transportation back to Sherbrooke for you and your ATV if a mechanical breakdown occurs.
This should be a great ride, but places are limited because there is only room for a small group in the sugar bush cabin. Only the first 15 persons to confirm will be allowed in the group.
For more information or to make a reservation, Email me quickly at JacquesL@abacom.com. I will send you more information about what you should bring along and I will send you a confirmation Email a few days before the weekend ride.
