I'll be back on days starting Monday. Yeah, I got all the dust out of the 'ol eyeballs. I just have to go get a wrench to tighten up that front end a tad.

ragged, I agree A LOT of roads. Been camping there a lot, but haven't found a way over to the ridge on top of Molybdenite.

Went to Elsy last weekend. Nice steep, rocky, & LONG trails. NO DUST and cool on Saturday! Sunday a little warm. We were gonna try and get to Calder but by the time we found the right way it was too late in the day. I found out when I got to work Monday that the trail is open between Moon Pass and Lake Elsy now. On the Moon Pass side it starts at Slate Saddle.

Hey guys we were off the first page.

Haven't been riding lately, but I have killed a few coyotes. My buddy Mike's family owns huge chunks of land down near St John, and as soon as it cools down a bit, we are going to go down there and camp/hunt. Love shooting them coyotes.

Would love to go shoot some dogs! I'm surprised you're finding them in the heat of the summer. Got a 22-250 that has only got chucks to this point. Do you know a Melissa Cummings from Tekoa? That's an ex-girlfriend from many years ago. Lots of good bird and coyote land down there if you know people.

Won't go riding again until it cools off. Last Sat was the best riding day of the summer!

My brother and I went riding up on molybdenyte and monumental last week...great ride! I don't know of anyone that has attempted to cross molybdenite on a 4 wheeler...mostly horses. I would be interested in giving it a try. The country is reported to hold...HUGE black bear, Grizzlies, elk, giant muleys and LOT'S of cougar. If we had a few of us together we could give it a shot. Apparently, the forest dept. doesn't want atv's in there as they have bulldozed some dirt at least at the trail head on molybdenite. So what. Since when did that stop us...it certainly isn't posted at least nothing that I could see. Any way...it's time to get ready for hunting season....that's where I will be for the next 3...saturdays. Pastor, in fact I've seen a bear, probably the same one, in the same spot 2 different times. The first time was grouse season and we were in a truck going up higher. It was bear season also but we didn't have any rifle or handgun readily accessible. The second time I was on a quad and came around a corner and he was right there! The first time after we finally managed to get a rifle out we hiked up the hill where he ran and it opened up to a large clearcut with so many down trees it was hard to walk. Must be a den back there, as he was out of sight.

Went out @ night with the spotlight and some new calls last two nights. My middle son shot his first two coyotes. He is pretty excited about it. Only way to hunt em when it's this hot out. And, yes it's legal.

We also saw some monster mulie bucks out there. If hunting them were legal with a spotlight, they'd be extinct. They just sit there and look at you for a long time. We have a red lense cover on the light and so the animals are pretty calm about being looked at. I've never been able to get permission to hunt the mulies out there because all of those ranchers lease the deer hunting rights to paying customers; but they all like you to shoot the coyotes, especially at calving time.
