there is a place to the east of Red Top by Isle. I want to say it's Snake River, but I don't know exactly.

There is a campground just east of the Redtop trail system. It is around the 84 or 85 Mile marker on Hy65 on the east side of the road. It is a small camp located right on the shore of the Snake river. The trail is right there that connects you to Redtop and in turn you can access the Soo Line going from Genola (near Isle) to Saunders (near Superior, Wi) There are some spurs off of that also. There is also food and gas in McGrath, just north a few miles from the camp. Should be plenty to keep you busy for a weekend.

Here is a complete description of the Soo line trail

Can you pull campers in there or only tents?

You kind of got me on that one! I have only been down to the campground a few times and there were not many people there at those times. I don't recall seeing any trailers but that doesnt mean they are not allowed. I think it is a state forest campground so there probably is a way to find out.

Anyone else know for sure?
