So. Calif.-Noise Regulations Are For Real!!!!

My neighbors were riding in Cajon Pass (San Bernardino National Forest) yesterday. A ranger pulled them over and was going to test their sound levels. He couldn't do it however, because the wind was to strong. I am sure my 400's will never pass!! So what do we do when we get nailed??? Is this a federal thing, or a state thing?? I can see testing in the national forest, but out in the open desert, it seems rediculous. Anybody been tested at Ocotillo Wells, Stoddard or Johnson Vallerys, Pismo, Glamis, Dumont, etc.??? I think we will be OK at Rasor, because you never see a ranger out there.
Guess I'll have to ride the Ranchers in the mountains, and leave the 400's at home.

I think the answer is a remote kill switch. They can't test a bike that doesn't run. Is it a crime to have a POS bike that floods out all the time. I guess you can see who has more free time. I think noise control is appropriate to a point. The guys running wide open are the ones who got this whole check started. Now all of us have to meet stock noise levels.
