Have you tried Stonyford? It's pretty good. How about Carnegie?

Try Sand Mountain Nevada, on hwy 50 just past Fallon.

There is the Great Carson sink, dry lake bed and surrounding mountain areas, south of Lovelock Nevada.

How do you like Cow mountain? Never been there, but I am intersted...

How do you like that 700? I thought about it long and hard before buying an 03 Raptor last week. Finally decided on the Raptor because it had a manual transmission, and since we ride in desert and mountains....decided I needed the engine breaking you get with the manual tranny.......

Saw a 700 at Hollister last weekend.......it sounded funny with the transmission.....maybe that was you???

I mainly ride hollister, but I have heard great things about Stonyford. Some guys I know went there and they said the place was so big you need a GPS to really have some fun on some of the long trails. Looking forward to getting out there.

Yeah I've been up there a couple of times. My friends all really like it, more than I do.

There are a pretty good variety of trails that go on for miles.

But for me, its a pretty hard pull for my trailer, and takes me an hour and a half longer than to Hollister.

Besides my 17 year old really loves the tracks at Hollister and I like the camping there, nice little set up.

But then again there is fishing in the creeks at Stonyford...

How do you like the 700???

I live in Fairfield and go out to Knoxville fairly often. It is about 10-15 miles north of Lake Berryessa. Good trail riding and views. Also there is Argyll in Dixon, a private track and trails $5-$10 to get in and I believe they have a website too. If you like motocross tracks there's also Praire City and Marysville with nice tracks. I still end up at StonyFord a couple times a year just to see how lost we can get in one day, the place is HUGE!!

We ride almost entirely sand now but might try a few dirt areas. How about the first weekend of june we meet at stonyford and have a little group ride, that way we all get lost together, lol. Dust shouldnt be too bad yet either. I will haul up my 34' weekend warrior and stay for the weekend so we can have a place to hang out. Sean

I for one am on "Standby" with my work the first two weeks of June so couln't make it.

But next weekend, Memorial day wkend, a bunch of us are going to the Great Carson Sink near Lovelock Nevada for a riding and shooting trip. If your interested, I'll get you directions... There will probably be about thirty riders.....

We were there in Febuary, and had eight riders, we were there in April, and had twenty three riders on a group ride. ( 6 or 7 quads, and the rest bikes.....Strung out in about a ten mile string along the trail.) It turns out that every quad but one ran out of gas, oops.......yeah and 7 flat tires repaired at trailside.....Great trip though....

I can't make it that weekend either. How about something toward the middle to end of june? It gives everybody more time to plan.

Mid to late June would be a good time to go to Stonyford, maybe a little hot but I'm sure we can still find some creeks to play in if so. I'll be down at Pismo Beach for Memorial Weekend we have a group of about 20, anyone else heading down there that weekend? Regarding riding in Nevada has anyone been riding to any good ghost towns, I heard there's a ton of them out there?

I would love to hit stonyford.

I have tried to find the riding area 3 times - I live in Davis, CA. Every time I go up there, the maps say I'm in the right area - but I see no signs or anything. I'll find it sooner or later.
Justdon't spend too much at the indian casino on hwy. 16.
