Hurley Rally over Memorial Weekend
I just drove past the Days Inn in Hurley and it was full of ATV's all with mud on them. I don't think they got full of mud from the railroad grade. You have to remember the forestry Dept are Gov. Workers they get paid if you come to Hurley or not. I haven't heard of any trails being closed by any local people who ride them. This is the only place I heard of trail closings. I see they have the mud pit ready it's behind The Iron Horse bar this year. You can stand on the hill and look down at the ATV's it should be better for the spectators. Squeaks's bar is having a trail side cookout all weekend long. If you really want a mud pit try behind sidkicks bar. Days INN number is (715) 561-3500 you can call and ask them if the trails are open and how many ATV's were staying there this weekend!

Downtown Hurley on the lower block has a open lot to park in, it's by the strip clubs. Most people park at the hotel that they stay at. Ironwood MI, has made it legal to ride the roads from the hotels to Hurley for the rally. Bear chasers bar at Island lake is a pretty cool bar and very ATV friendly. It is the only bar who has a owner that rides ATV's.
