Just north of Gulfport are some trails called Bethel ATV trails in the Desoto National Forest, or just east of Saucier. Many miles of trails, but not really anything challenging. There are others down there I remember reading about here, but can't remember. Do a search for Mississippi.

I believe the other place around Gulfport is Saw Dust Piles, about 12 miles of trails. Check with a local dealer or other people down there to get directions.

If not to far the Wolf RIver Bottoms off the mississippi river will give as much challenge as youre willing to take. it is some awsome terrain.

Dodgepower, Bethel should be easy for a 6 year old. As I stated above, it isn't very challenging at all, which is why some don't want to ride there. It is more for the leisure rider, where as some are looking for mud, hills to climb, or some tricky riding. Bethel is maintained and might be considered boring to some people because it doesn't have the challenging terrain. I have a map of the trails that I can e-mail to you and another one that shows how to get to the area from I-10, which runs through Gulfport. Bethel is actually a system of trails, I believe 7 in all. The trails make long loops and return to the road with varying lengths. You can e-mail me at rebelds@comcast.net and I can e-mail you the maps.
