The water ended up being deeper than is was when i did it a couple months before...
The wolverine was only a week and a half old when this happened(and yes i was wearing a helment, i had just taken it off):

we hooked it up to the Mule with the strap and pulled it out

yeah, after literally holding the start button for over 1/2 an hour it spit tons of water out and started back up. i changed the oil and everything seems to be fine now
