thinking about buying a rhino
#1
I am looking to purchase a rhino and I have no idea what I am looking at. I have a pretty strong background in 4 stroke motorcycles and have owned a 660 raptor but I know nothing about these. Does anybody know why many people in CA advertised that their rhino is registered in arizona? Also how many hours is too many. I looked at an 05 that had 130 hours on it. That seems like quite a bit. Pretty much I will be greatly thankful for any info on what to look for and what to stay away from. Thank you in advance.

First rhino's are holding there value pretty good and I don't think 130 hrs. is too much (consider that those hrs. are ticking when the key is on).
the registration is just one less thing for you to have to worry about I.E. if your out in the AZ area you can cruise the streets.

Rhinos CANNOT be made street legal in California. I called the CHP and got their take on it. The officer told me "Nope" and cannot be made street legal. In Az, you can register it and make it street legal. It has a license plate. However, you can only drive it on streets where the vehicle can do the local posted speed limit. So anything over 40mph (for a Rhino) is out of the question. BTW, Nevada also shares the same view as Cali. On another note, just because it has an Arizona street plate doesn't mean you can drive it on the street here in California. You will most likely get cited. 130 hours may not be too much for an '05. My '06 has around 50 hours. I don't use it daily. The hours ad up quickly. If it has been taken care of and not beat up it should last awhile.
