CV boot replacement
#1
Hey y'all, new member here. I have a 2006 450 and have been trying to replace the front outer CV boot on this thing....
I have little mechanical ability, but should have all the tools and necessary items to get this thing fixed.
I'm assuming there is some sort of clip holding the inner joint together that I need to take loose. Once I get there, what else is there to remove so I can get the inner boot off and slide the new outer boot on?
I have the hub, caliper and whatever else disconnected, but having a hard time getting the lower A-arm off. I'm assuming I just need to pry it off the ball joint gently?
This thing has been sitting on a jack/block for about a month and everytime I attempt to fix this thing, I get worked up and start cussing myself...you have to know me to understand this, but I suck at mechanics. Anyways, any help is appreciated.....if not, I will have to pay someone $130 or so to slide on a $15 part..

Figured I'm new, but here is my toy. Older pic before I rolled it and smashed the rear panel....
edit: couldn't get the pic to work, but link goes to a pic.
