Synthetic oil for the motor and diff.
I have been running Amsoil in mine since new, it's wet clutch compatible and I use Purolator Oil Filters, best filter made and much cheaper than the OEM filter. I use Amsoil Gear lube in my differentials. over 3 years & 2000 miles with no problems.
I know many will disagree but automotive oils are not formulated for the gears and clutch ATV & Bike engines have.
Happy trails.

What is the part number of the Purolater filter?

I don't usually come to this forum, but I saw your post in passing....
I highly recommend Maxima's synthetic oils: Extra or Ultra. They are ester based and rated API SG/JASO MA. Ultra is Extra with the addition of a synthetic friction modifier and comes in some unconventional weights.
If you want a performance oil and are willing to embrace the ultimate in current oil technology, then I would recommend Redline, or in cold weather Maxima 530MX. Both these oils are ester based.
One note....don't be scared off by the fact that Redline is JASO MB. It contains a new generation of organic friction modifiers, yet is still wet clutch safe. JASO has no category to rate these wet clutch safe modifiers, so they have to call it MB (your owner's manual will probably say MA). Because of all the friction reduction, I am seeing a (torque/horsepower) increase running Redline....it's the real deal! I am running it in all of my 7 quads (including the ones with autoclutches and centrifugal clutches), and my clutches are excellent.
I don't know what your owner's manual specs, but in my diffs I run Maxima 75W90 Synthetic Gear oil.
