Two dead....hard to feel sorry for them though, if they really were so stupid that they weren't wearing seat belts!

Agreed. If I was in Jawbone Canyon in a UTV, I'd wear a safety belt and a helmet without thinking about it. The roll cages on the UTEs are strong enough for impact. The skull is not.

As much as I hate to admit it utv's could become the new 3 wheeler. This is very sad though. My sister's old boyfriend nearly died not wearing a helmet on a sport bike, wheelied off a curb, bike flew out from between his legs.He landed hard on his back it broke a couple vertebrae were pretty screwed up,they said if it was a couple inches up his back his neck would have been broken and his brain stem severed. He hasn't learned his lesson though, aparently his credit was so good he could get any motorcycle he wanted.Rides a ducati,no helmet it will probably take his death to realize how dangerous it is to go with no helmet. Why you would'nt wear a seat belt though is stupid.

it is not the vehicle that is causing these wrecks. it the idiots that are operating them that are making this awful **** happen. last time i checked, a seat belt and a helmet usage are in the operations manual of these things, along with advice on how to operate it in a safe manner.

AGREED! But that won't stop the government from getting involved!
