Default 2007 Rhino 660 problem

I was down at Carolina Adventure World and decided to go thru the Mud Bog. Igot about 10ft from crawling out at the end and my Rhino stopped. We towed it to the mechanic shop there and the guy worked on it for 3 1/2 to 4 hours. He cleaned the carb, jets, air filter, belt housing, and put in a new spark plug. He got it to run, but it hits 8mph and starts missing and sounding like it is hitting the rev limiter and over heating. It never over heated before since I bought it new. When we were at our campsite, the mechanic came and said that we should check the clutch and see if it had mud in it. Sure enough it did. I got it home and cleaned out the clutch and the housing, put it back on and still the same thing. When driving and when sitting, you can give it about 2/3 throttle and be fine, but when you give it that last third, the missing starts and the rev limiter sound starts. I have asked the local dealer but they are stumped. Could it be the CDI or something electrical since the rev limiter sounds like it is kicking in? Any information would be greatly appreciated
