Default Rhino axle nut problem...

Problem is I can't loosen it. I am working on the left rear so I can replace a boot. I already broke my breaker bar and and the impact does not budge it. Is it reverse thread? Do I have to worry about using to much heat?

Thanks in advance. I just never ran into this much trouble before.

You cant loosen it even if you put oil on it? Hmmm, I figure, you need more leverage plus oil to loosen it.

I ended up getting it. I had to use extreme HEAT! The front one I was able to get with a long breaker bar. For some reason the rear was on there good and tight.

Extreme Heat in this instance was the use of an Oxygen/Acetolene torch for several minutes until the nut was cherry red.

Yeah, we heat up our nuts sometimes when they won't budge - although usually the impact will do the job....

I always try the impact first too, then the breaker bar then the heat and a combination of the other two. i was just surprised the first two did not work and how much heat it took.

Why no picks in the garage 450grl? Which 450 you have? I have a YFZ myself which I love, one problem though... I don't ride it enough.
