why the RAPTOR will always be the king... IMO
I don't own a Raptor, and actually I'm a Honda fan... however here's why I think the Raptor IS and will always be the king of sport quads, even if Honda does come out with the rumored 450EX.
other quads may be as fast in stock trim, and handle better than the Raptor; but the Raptor has the best bolt-on potential and that's the bottom line.... it really doesn't handle that bad, and it can be improved...
it looks nasty, has reverse and a plush suspension for trial riding, which is what the majority of Raptor owners do with it.
the only way I see the Raptor being de-throned, is if Honda introduces a 650EX that out-handles the Raptor, AND has as good of a bolt-on potential.
just my 2 cents....

Realy the rappy is cute but it will never be a great bike it has no frist meritts!!
polaris built the frist sport bikes with reverse
bombardier made the frist big bore sport 4 stroke( but some might argue polaris did that with the 500 scrambler)

As far as responding to bolt on mods a pipe and cdi box and the ds is in a class all by itself
