raptor high center of gravity ?
I would definately say slap a pair of maxis razors on the back!! The stock tire on my buddies rap will squat down to the bead during a powerslide...and he has 7lbs. or air in them! Get a tire with a stiffer sidewall and it will slide better and hook up quick in forward momentum!

Some aftermarket tires will help out. It really depends on how much you want to spend though......if you wanted to throw down some big bucks, you could get some aftermarket shocks with zero-preload and that would lower it quite a bit, but not take away from the jumping ability of the machine.
I would not soften it up too much, because if you wanna jump then you might bottom out easier, also need to think about your riding conditions/style/preference. Woods, open fields, dunes, etc. I like a little of them all, so I don't(wouldn't) widen up because you might then have a problem in the woods.............
Good luck with your choice, Just don't buy a used 2001 raptor unless they take off enough to replace the crappy tranny(600bucks) or they have undeniable proof it has been done.
