im about to order my polished ac nerfs for my raptor but i noticed there are just the nerfs, and the nerfs with built in pegs. Are the stock pegs compatible with the ac nerfs? Are the AC's difficult to install? it says it bolts to the motor mount...does this mean i gotta take out the bolts for the motor? Im pretty sure the DG's dont get bolted on any motor mounts. Is using the motor mount as a sturdy point to mount the nerfs risky business? i dont know if i like the idea of the nerfs sharing such a vital part of the bike, i dont wanna break a motor mount because i put impact on my nerfs?

whats your opinions, id like to order them tonight or tomora. thanks

 

I have installed a set of AC nerfs on my 300Ex and Blaster. They are easy to install and they bolt up to the footpegs just fine. On the 300EX they did not bolt on with the motor mounts. But on the Blaster they where. What that means is that all you do is take the bolt that keeps the motor bolted on the the motor mounts and use the one they send you that is just a little longer to accomodate the extra thickness on the nerfs. It is easy and I do not see any need for concern for the strenght of bolting them onto the machine in that way.

I have them on my Raptor. Looks good, fits good. Yes, your stock pegs are fine. They actualy bolt to them also. The motor mount is not a concern. It takes about 10 minutes or so to install. Piece of cake.
