Hmm, how'd they know what to jet it at? Correctly.
Most people using a dynojet dyno without a eddy brake primarily look to get a smooth curve on the dyno. This is a halfa$$ way to do it IMHO and without being able to simulate a load on the dyno a lean mixture looks real good but can have dire consquences when you put a load on them in the real world.

I've sure loved the times I've been able to roost the Banshees but now I gotta wonder if building up the Rappy was such a good idea. Never had any problems with it stock, I did the 686 and now Bubba makes me nervous that my rod might take a dump even before my transmission. I suppose if I do the trans swap I'll pay the extra and buy the rod. Hopefully the rod and transmission will hold together for awhile.

Bob jsut aquired a exhaust temp sensor set up 2 weeks ago. We are going to use 1 head pipe to dial all ours in with. The exhaust temp is the way to go.

Big bubba- do you know what the dyno jets flow compared to the mukinus that were in your quad?? I have been running my raptor way lean on the top for 2 years. The coatings help in that reguard. I am surprised that DTR was just guessing on the dyno.

He had 160/165 MIKUNI mains in it with dynojet needles. He should have been using close to 190s IMO.

1300 F degrees is not bad for a WOT EGT reading. Most EGT gauges have a red zone @ 1600 F or 900 C. Pistons will start to melt at these temps when there for an extended period of time.
