I told them i NEVER do that, and after i hade that tranny replaced, i was SOOO craeful shifting, and what did ya know? It got stolen, and when i got it back teh tranny blew....nice. but please i've gone through so many trannys, i'm an expert on those damn things.

Do you keep replacing with the 01 parts? Why haven't you upgraded to the 02 version? If you haven't already.

BigBubba, out of curiosity was that one of the new 5.3 liter chevy's? Chevy, like yamaha, claims there isn't a problem with them. I have heard the piston clearance was WAY to wide on these early 5.3's.

When your machine rolled into the shop....your warranty was on hold. Your machine should have still been under warranty when it left for the amount of time that was left when it arrived. So they lied too you if they told you it was no longer under warranty. You need too be in contact with Yamaha about hopefully getting this warranteed, and complaining about the 11 hours service. The manual only calls for 6 hours....a freakin' monkey could have done it in less time.

Wanna never replace another tranny on that 01 Raptor? Unhook REVERSE! Research my previous posts concerning reverse and the 01 Raptor.
