Kodiak Belt Drive Vents
#1
I recently drowned my belt drive on my 01 Kodiak. When I checked it out, I found that the front vent had come completely off the belt drive housing! There are 2 very small clamps that connect the vent to the drive housing. The rubber connecting the vent with the housing is very small too, and I have no doubt, will come off again (from vibration).
I want to use a longer piece of rubber hose/tubing and larger clamps to hold the 2 together. Will a piece of rad hose fit (snugly) over the vents? Or does someone have a better recommendation?
P.S. All newer style Kodiak owners should keep an evy on their vents. The factory clamping is leaves much to be desired!
