Hello Zombierider. Everyone like something different in an atv. Personally I love auto atv's. My suggestion to you would be to try an auto and decide for yourself. Personally I don't think that you will be disappointed with it. The only thing that I would like to have that the 450 has would be the digital speedometer and diff lock.

Good luck and happy shopping.

I have an '03 400 kodiak and the only issue I have is in cooler 0 - 10 celsus, say 32 - 40 F weather ( I'm from Canada) it doesn't hold it's idle well and cuts out often. Only solution is to manually apply more throttle. A pain, but after it warms up- woo hoo!

I run mine thousands of miles every year and no major probs. The steering stem coming loose has happened on a couple of mine and on one new one. A little locktite and all better. Belt snorkel it a yamaha thing. But other than that they are one heck of a machine. I have several 02's with 6000+ miles and they keep going strong, *** long as you keep up with the maint!!!
