Default Why does my warrior do this?

Brand new 2003 model. WHen I hit the "Start" button it lunges forward a couple inches. Also does the same thing (lunges backwards )if I have it in reverse and start it. This is with the clutch all the way in and no front/rear brake engaged. Normally I would have my foot on the brake but I was on flat ground with nothing around me.
I have looked through the manual to see if this was normal but couldn't find anything.
I just wanted to get some opinions on this before I call the dealer.

Dude you can attempt to adjust the cluth but it might not help much make sure the cluth is not to tight you want a little play but not a whole lot. That is a flaw of the warrior best thing is try to ignore it. And for the next thing you will ask (when you put it in gear and let of the cluth and the bike does not movejust clanks make sure it is engaged completly in forward. Hope that helps!

Does it do it all of the time when you start it? Or just after it sits for awhile? Mine does this only after sitting for awhile, ie. overnight. Did it on my street bikes and my dirt bikes when I started them in gear. Its from the oil draining off of the clutches and they stick till the oil gets circulated again.

yeah I think it's only when it's cold. I'll metion it to the deal but I guess I'll just get used to starting it in neutral.

It's pretty normal. I think its because the clutch plates stick together if they sit for a little while. They just need a little pressure to make them release.
