Default Grizzly at Glamis?

Hey guys, I am going to get a Raptor when the 2004's come out, but I would be the only one in my family with a sport quad, my dad and my step mom both have stock 2003 Grizzlys. If I convinced my dad to take a trip to Glamis some time this summer, would the Grizzly's be fine there, or would they have a bad time? Would they climb all the hills just not as fast, or would they just sink in the sand? Also, would a Raptor be ok with stock tires in the sand, or would it just bury itself? Thanks a lot, Ryan

I've got a work buddy that takes his Sportsman's out there quite often. They do fine as long as you drop the tire pressure.

You are aware that the tempatures reach 120 degrees during the summer out there correct? You do know that there is no shade unless you bring it right? Other than that your two machines would be fine in the main part of the riding season from October to May.

Correct. Also you'd be better off going sometime after September.

So it sounds like not many people go during the summer time because it is so hot. Is there another major dune area like Glamis somewhere that it isn't so hot? Preferably in the western United States? Thanks, Ryan

Coral pink is nice, went last year in July. It got pretty warm during the afternoon, but mornings and evenings were very nice. Little sahara utah is another option, gets warm in July and August, but not unbearable.

Alot of people take 4x4's to the dunes, as long as you have fun, you cares what you ride.

Oh, I forgot about the oregon dunes also, I think that would be great during the summer, and st. anthony has to have great temps also.

i think with that much weight it would be burried in sand, but tire pressure could help a little.
