Big scary...my Chevy had a limiter at around 95-98. Your does not? How did you manage that one?

 

Although I've never witnessed it first hand, I've heard that a stock Raptor will run low to mid 14's in the 1/4 mile.

 

Big scary what do you have done to your truck to make it run 14 the Z-28 barely runs that in the 1/4 mile.

 

dude a stock comaro ss can do high 12 with alot of practic. And low 12s with slicks

 

Oh i thought it was like low 13 or so for the z-28.

 

Well I can say for sure that the raptor does not run 14s in the 1/4. Been there, seen that! Most Sport quads will run mid 15s high 16s. My 88 5.0 mustang stock ran a 13.9...i know my Predator does not run that fast. And since i can outrun my buddy on his raptor, i know i can take a raptor in the 1/4!

Honestly dude..theres no way your truck runs 14s flat. Not unless you had a 150 shot of NOS on it! And even then i'd only beleive it when i saw it. If your telling the truth..please post the timeslip and what elevation your at! I drag race alot and have seen alot of quads run. I'd say your raptor would give that RSX a damn good race! A guy i know has a 97 Prelude and it ran a 16flat. I have a picture of me racing a quad in my profile..i cant tell what it is..but i know i slaughted it..he ran a 16.9 or somthing like that...

 

i have raced a new Turbo celica and smoked his *** pretty bad, but we only ran a little after 1/8.

and odds r most of those stupid ricers can't dive they're car. so don't base ur race w/ those number u found.

All of the cars and quads Ive ever raced on pavement Ive killed. I raced a crapalier GT probably about 1/4 mile or a 1/3 mile, and I got him by about 30 lengths. I bascially had him on every thing except top speed. He started to inch ahead at about 95. So I am sure you will have no problem beating him.

More like mid 12's. And that's with an awesome driver and the right air. Also at that point the Camaro's clutch and wimpy 7.5 axle are on borrowed time. By the way, we're only talking about the 01-02 LS1 SS's with the LS6 intake. The 98-00's are noticably slower.

 

Why are we racing quads against cars. I mean, give me a break. Sounds pretty childish if you have to say that "...oh....well my atv will beat your car!" give me a break. If your just kidding around, then whatever.
It would be pretty ugly though if your hauling down the quarter mile track next to a fricken car, and you lose it, cause you flinched, and moved the handlebars.
Keep the quad on the track, and the car on the street!!
