Default JTM 4.5" Extension installation instructions.

Mr45auto, Thanks for the offer. No instructions yet would you please email me a copy of yours. dfitz@jamarelectric.com Thanks

660x2, I to have not heard of any breaking of the JTM, but have heard of the stock extension cracking at the welds. I'm sure it is not as strong as a solid after market swing arm, but I think it will work for me.

The only problem with the extension is a skid plate cannot be used.

I play in the dunes mostly so the skid plate is not to much of an issue with me.

sorry guys i was confused, it was the extended stock swingarm that was breaking in the other thread i read. how much difference does a longer swingarm make, and what differences do they make?

The 4.5" extension makes a huge difference. You'll be far more stable hillclimbing and drag racing. No more feeling like you're gonna loop out or or wheelie during a drag race. The Rappy just has too short a wheelbase to have such a large motor. Not so much a problem when stock but certainly when you modify the motor or climb extremely steep dunes/hills.

To give you an idea of how strong the JTM is, my brother jumped my bike in the dunes Memorial Day weekend and caught about 12 ft or more air and landed it on the down side of the dune hard about 30 ft or so and got a little sideways when he hit and the only things that got bent were the bars and the left rear foot gaurd. Other than that, the swing arm held up great!! That was the first weekend I had them on.
