its gonna be a diffferent deal then a raptor. in a straight line it might hold a rapt at bay for a while but then the extra ponies nad displacement it has will start to walk the yfz....I cant wiat till we get one to ride one on demo. I will keep my rapt cause I like big bore 4 strokes with gobs of torgue...this CAN have it...rapt does have it and will have more.

I cnat wait to see it in person and lift it alone heehee in person....

 

Well, Yamaha did it!!! As long as there are no raptor-like issues with this machine it should be pretty sweet - especially for the MXers. I like the low seat height and wider width. None of that short/tippy stuff here.

Me either they did not detune that thing. It will be a beast.

 

They probably didn't leave it tuned for liability reason, im guessing they detuned it down to 35hp stock, to keep people from killing themselves on it. Tuned right it probably will kick out 40 hp or so, cammed and ported sure 50 hp, but remember if it is detuned still, 350lb will kill any of the torq machines. thats all there is too it.

Have you read the specs??? 95mm x 62mm, 11.9:1 compression ratio, 39mm FCR... no man, this thing isn't detuned. Must run premium gas and change the oil every ride!!! This is a racer's machine!
