Ummm...what new Honda? This specualtion has been going on for years; getting pretty old if you ask me.
40ish sounds about right. That is without a doubt the sweetest looking quad I've ever seen....glad I didn't get a Predator when I had the chance. Yamaha seems to be 1st in performance, not Honda as they claim. Look at the R6, R1, FZ1, YZ250 etc...they all are above the Honda...OK, R. Charmichael could win on anything so the CR250 don't count

Well, I've heard from people putting YZ450F engines in quads that their getting around 47-48HP at the wheels, which would put the dirtbike right around 55HP.......I know their is no chance in hell of the CRF450 engine putting out 10 more HP than the YZF450 engine, in dirtbikes ecspecially.

Okay, my $.01 worth. The Yammy site says best "power-to-weight ratio" of any quad produced. Not "highest horsepower". (sorry David if I missed it) So, a Raptor with say 34 hp @ 397 lbs would be 11.67 lb/hp. A Zooki 400 with 30 hp @ 370 lbs would come out at 12.33 lb/hp. So, the 350 lb 450 even at 31 hp would beat them both with 11.29 lb/hp. I know I'm missing the C-Dales and GasGas's. For the sake of argument if it's 38 hp that would be 9.21 lb/hp, a huge advantage over the others, or the same as a Raptor with 43.1 horsepower. But that's the calculator world, the real world where torque curves etc come into play change everything. You're welcome, for me sucking the life out of this discussion.
