32hp to the rear wheels, I don't think it is going to be as powerful as they make it sound, but mabey it will. Don't jump on me for saying this either.

In all brutal honesty I would guess at.......lesseee, Z400 is 29-30, 50 more cc & bragging rights at stake, Rappy can't be dissed too bad, so.....35. THIRTY FIVE I TELL YA, THAT'S GOTTA BE IT!! (it ain't peak just hp, it's torque curve anyway that wins)

I never said anything about HP in a new Honda. And yes Honda will come out with a 450 soon. Look how long it took the 400EX to come out and not many problems with it. Yamaha just slaps these bike together to comepete with Honda Bomb and all them and they fall apart first year more than any other first year bikes. Honda does need to change there saying performance first to some thing else.

Look when the Raptor came out they claimed the most powerfull atv out. Doesnt the DS650 produce more HP?

I don't know if you guys noticed but it has actually been de-stroked to a 439cc. My guess is to keep it legal for the pro racing since that have the dumb 440cc limit and everyone has to detune there CR 450s and YFZ450's. So, that is kind of a bummer to me that it is de-stroked. They said that a regual crank will drop right in though....

I thinks its too early to guess what the HP will be...will it be Green Sticker legal here in CA? If it is then it will be lower for sure..lean jetting ect. The WR 450 stock comes with a throttle limiter that only gives you half throttle,& a restrictive exhaust.. & it's still a Red Sticker bike!!!Please Yamaha don't do that to this quad! I hope it's Green Sticker legal & puts out over 40hp..that would be great. Also, I just got my new Motocross Action mag in the mail today & they have the dyno #'s for the bikes....YZ 450 - 49.3hp , CRF 450 - 49.1hp Someone earlier said that a CRF makes 55hp...it does...at the crank..I have the brochure right here that says 55hp at the crank, regardless..both of these are awesome motors & I hope Honda finally wakes up & see's all of the money that Yamaha will be raking in with sales....I know I can't wait to give them my 7 grand!
