Hi,
70% trail to me, would ward me off of the dedicated Mud tires. I rode in Tellico and seen these tires slide down on wet semi-hard off cambers. I did not see the Mud Bugs so I cannot comment.
I avoid MUD like the plague. I am a Industrial Maintenance Tech and just can't put my machine through that unless there just aint no way around. I LOVE to whatch and take Photos from the side lines.
So I went with the Kenda Bear Claws. At 3.8 psi they ride and handle good. They have enough lug to do what I MUST do. They are a medium to hard compound and rated at 4 ply. They are taking the hard pack crush & run roads I run well. Some of the photos you may see of these tires do not do them justice.
And there are 2 styles. An early mold number and a new improved mold. They beefed up the lugs. I found this out when I purchased a set of 4 @ OEM sizes. All 25 inch tall. The fronts were shorter. Concerned about the 4x4 drive train I called Kenda USA and they asked for the mold number and said I had an old mold 4899 229 in 25x8x12. I then noticed that the lugs were smaller than my rear mold 5199 211 in 25x10x12. They sent me 2 new mold tires 0600 212 in 25x8x12 and let me keep the others to sell.
A friend has the Mud Sharks on a Ploaris SP500. He LOVES MUD and the Mud Sharks. They are however a soft to medium compound and are killer on Rock Climbing and MUD as well as the trails. I seen these tires do good on the off cambers of Tellico.
Good Luck.
