We are getting them in next week and they are going for 6800 out the door.

 

I will wait for next years. Just got a 400ex to replace the Raptor. If Honda comes out with something comparable, I will probably stick with Honda. I've found the parts are so much cheaper. Seems like Yamaha gouges over and over.

Notu, Im going to do the same thing I think. I had an 01 raptor and hated it. I enjoy my 400ex a lot more. If honda doesnt come out with the CRF450 quad and the Yamaha isnt a complete lemon like previous models, then maybe I will throw down. Im not afraid of buying a Honda first year though. They seem to put a little more time into making sure not to screw over cutomers with first year lemons. My 85 350x is still going strong with very minimal problems. Didnt hear anything bad aobut the 400ex either. The first year raptors were rediculous though. I lost all respect for yamy, as well as a lot of money.

 

I'm betting you all are gonna go with extended service? Nice ride, glad Yamaha dropped the raptor price. May need a new one now that I know what I want and don't want for aftermarkets (the Mrs. will get a slightly used one of course)

 

I am on a waiting list at my dealership... I am #2 because my dealership reserved the first one to use as a demo.. too bad heh

I have the first one my dealer is getting. My son is a pro-rider and we are sponsered by a Yamma dealer. I just hope Yamaha done their homework on this one. Even my dealer doesn't hold much hope on this being flawless. We tried to order the MX add on stuff, quess what, B.O.'ed already !!

 

As far as YAMAHA ever supporting a race team them selves NO! Will they help someones race team maybe

 

I saw an interview with a yamaha rep on another site and they asked him if they'll have a contingency program and he basically got off subject and said we tried our hardest to keep the bike affordable,i guess he meant no,but we kept it cheap for the consumer so he wont need help?!?!
