I'm looking to do some motor work to my rappy, i've got the CT HO kit on it now and I love it to death, the timing is also advanced... what else could I do and stay with in the 1,200 price range and get the most for my money? If i do much to the motor would I have to run race gas, or a mix?

You only have to run race fuel if you go with a high comp piston.
I would tell you to do suspention befor you wory about motor.
A smoother ride is a faster ride.

Absolutely suspension upgrades, you'll only be able to use extra power after the suspension is up to speed.

Not bad but I think that would be about $200 over budget and if I were to build that engine I would change the rod and have the crank balanced. Another $400 or so.

So this is what I would do: 11:1, stage 1 cam, P&P, new rod and balance the crank. Then you could up grade later with the other stuff if you wanted more power. There might be a little left in the budget to get the cases machined for a later 727 upgrade if you think you might ever want to.

Like the others have said-- aftermarket suspension goes a long way to getting that power to the ground; and once you go that route, you'll never go back.
