I took the packing out of my GYT-R exhaust and it sounds mean as hell... just thought I would say that!!

Why would you take the exhaust packing out? What is the use in that? Just to make it louder? Must be, because it surely won't make it any faster. Taking out the packing will create more turbulence in the muffler cannister and will increase restriction and backpressure. Check it out on the dyno, you will see it's true.
