Default Raptor Sprocket

Im trying to get the nut that holds the front sprocket off, but its a bitch. I heard its counter threaded (sp). Tried everything, breaker bar, stamding on the bar, jumping, just cant get it off! How did you guys take this stupid nut off? Im using a 1 1/4in socket with a 1/2 HUGE rachet. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Well, OK, first did you unlock the tabs for the nut (sorry had to ask). The nut is a counter clock-wise to remove, and clock-wise to tighten. Should not be that tight!!!

If the chain is still connected and you are using a long breaker bar and it still will not break loose.
I have always used a air impact, I know it is not the right thing to do some times but I have never damaged anything.

Chain is still on the quad, and Im using a breaker bar...should I take off the chain? This is the first time I take off the sprocket or chain, so help me out here. Im good with tools and stuff, but Im new to quads. Put me infront of an old V8 and I can take it apart and put it back together in 30mins. Im hoping I can get that good with my Raptor too. Ive already changed a subframe, axle, fenders, handle bars, bumpers, wheels...you can imagine what happened

Don't take the chain off untill you have loosened the sproket nut. I don't know what else to tell you gut keep trying. Spray it down some more and try tomorrow!!!
