Default Raptor rear suspension squeek(very loud and annoying)

#1 - As mentioned above, 90% of the squeaks are from the rubber bushings in the upper (most common) or lower shock mounts
#2 - Do not use WD40 for 2 reasons - it will deteriorate the rubber bushings, and it will disolve the grease inside the pivot
#3 - You can get the silicone spray lubricant at any auto parts store or Lowe's or Home Depot. Brand doesn't really matter. But some spray better than others and some dry to a lubricant film whereas others stay wetter longer. I currently use "3-in-1" brand spray.

Hope this helps,

RR1

Look people, just try loosening your shock bolt nut a little bit. This does work because I just did it today to my DS650. I not saying to loosen it so much it falls off but just a little is all it needs!!!!!

See that's what I mean, these bolts are cranked well over 100 ft/lb!! It's not like loosening it to be loose, just like a quarter turn that's all!! I didn't even have to go that far, it's still way tight just not enough to ruin $hit...... LIKE SHOCK BUSHINGS.

Ill try it and see if it works but even if it does I might still go with the silicone spray.

I agree with pushinthelimit, a simple fix. Better yet, remove it, clean it, and loctite it back where you need it.

I have an 03 Raptor and it also had a noise . Like they say clean it, grease it, and have it tight but not to tight. If it squeakes its to tight. Hope this helps.
