I contacted both yesterday spoke to Nick and Bob both are asking the same amount $415 and decided to go with craycraft. I was asked if I was interested in replacing the valves with S/S ones and wasn't sure what the advantage or PRICE so I said no, now can someone tell me a little more and is it worth it?

Hiram- I think the valves are worth it but pricey. Stainless valves flow better and last longer. I have seen a lot of stock valves come thru craycrafts shops. The out sides edges are beat up pretty good. You can redress them but i have seen a lot of guys just replace them. Either way a valve job is included in the head porting. If you are a die hard atv'er and want the best replace the valves. I went a long time before i went to the stainless. If you just want a fast ride leave the stock valves in. If you want every edge get the stainless.

I stick to the stock one for now, and wait until mine start to wear and then upgrade, I have to leave the wife some money in the bank.

Trx250rob, that's right the head is off and on it way, so the 686 will be really complete and I'm getting a 15t for the front to play and experiment with the gearing, ...............so VP c12 race gas is really good give it a try after you change your dome!!!! So I guess you will not be doing any riding this weekend. I might go out for a little bit on Sunday. I have to dial in the jetting, there is room for improvement.

You heard about Max's.

I haven't done it because it is difficult to get the gas when you are in a bind. But, now I'm going to have to, can't let Hiram get the advantage.
