Can anyone tell me the changes that were made between the 1998 and the 1999 grizzly. I know it is quite a bit lighter, but that is it.

 

The 98 had an adj. rear shock and steel rims.
The 99 lost the rear adj. and gained some aluminum rims and side plastic. The 99 also has a redesigned hitch and the oil cooler is mounted higher. The 00 is the same as the 99 except for a redesigned air intake for the clutch.

I also believe they changed the crank shaft to reduce weight also.

 

the 00 has adjustable rear suspension as well.

 

The 99's have stainless steel control cables, waterproof electrical components that were barrowed from yamaha's water craft and the 99 is about 40 lbs lighter than the 98

Oh ya the 99 - 00 are also faster than the 98. They increased the top end supposely. My 00 will do 60mph no problem, i have had it up to 62 and then i let off because that is quite fast enough for me.
