I'll be psyched if that fuc%^er drops out when heated - it's a thorn in my side at this point !!!

Fire the oven - here I come !

Default Can putting cylinder head in oven warp it ??

Finally got the f'in bearing out. It was not without a fight. I tried baking the head - no luck. Turns out none of the fancy little slide hammer pullers fit into the head enough to get at the bearing [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]
I talked to a buddy who repairs cars and he had this handy little tool made by MAc tools that resembles a small billy club with a hook on the end and a place to hit it with a hammer on the opposite end (Mac tools # S120). It's one of those tools nobody even knows they make. Sorta one of those "when all else fails" break out the weird sh#t.

Whew - now on to the next crisis......
