Default 2nd Dyno Run

Found me a semi-local shop that has a dyno-jet dyno... The guy that owns the shop works on ALOT of four wheelers. Mostly 2 strokes... He builds 686 raptors and was talkin lots of good things about his work... I told him some about mine and he could not belive that i broke 50HP with a hotcam... So I decided to take it to him and get a few runs on it to basically prove him wrong... With his port work, Curtis Sparks pipe, FCR's, he was hittin low 50's.. The strongest one he had built hit 53HP on his dyno... I managed to hit 55.9HP and 42.2 on the torque.. He was quite impressed... Said if I was to repack my "Tin Can" silencer I'd gain another1.5HP... I think if I changed the whole pipe to a Curtis Sparks I'd be in the upper 50's on his machine.. Maybe a low 60...

Raptar those are good numbers. A few guys have emailed me saying you are running strong. Give Bob a call after the 28th, he has found a way to make a few more hp with your setup. From the 100 plus quads i have seen on a dyno jet dyno any that break 55 are strong!! A lot claim 70hp but i have never seen a rappy break 70 on a dyno jet dyno. We use a dyno jey dyno all the time and a 5.1 second DS 760 make 53hp. Some more fine tuning and packing of the silencer will net you a good return. I think the stage 2 is a good cam. A web 685 will make more power but is not as rideable. 55.9 would be about 65 on ohitins dyno.
