I agree with Gary... be wary about shops that keep hot new machines overnight. The shop I bought mine from had a bad reputation for wringing out new machines before giving them to their owners. When I bought my Raptor (the first '01 they got in) I specifically stated for them to call me when it got in and that if someone rode it before me I wouldn't buy it. I let them know I knew their game. They might have been sneaky and rode it anyways, but I checked it over and it didn't even have a single little scratch in the plastic, so if they did, they were really careful about covering their tracks.

Look for the subtle details-- scratches on the side of the plastic and dirt in the footwells and recesses in the skid plates. Not a lot you can do sometimes, but if they do flog your machine it would be nice to catch them at it.

Yes alaska, new quads come with a sorta light grease if you fond dirt on it ask questions, even if it was rode in the parking lot and look at the tires carefully, Im sure there arnt any punks around and the dude that sold it to you was very helpful and concerned I dont think you should woory. Congrats on the new quad let us kno how it turns out!

I agree with you AlaskaYFM,

One time i went passed the local bombardier shop and they were "testing" one of thier new DS650's. They were doing doughnuts and burning the tires off in their blacktop parking lot!!! They are nice people and everything but you JUST DON'T DO THAT!!! I was wondering what the dealer is gonna say when the buyer of that askes why the tires are rounded off!! Well boys I did count my chickens before they hatched. It is in. but it was a BLUE ONE.
I ordered white & red. I almost took it home but I'm going to wait for the white one. And
if you don't believe me. There's a blue one in lancaster, CA that is blue & hasn't been sold yet.
So if you want a blue one, you better hurry up!

 

yup, i knew it he wasnt getting it . it just happened to be blue. if you ordered white why would it be blue?
