250R vs YFZ450 - are they close?
#1
I think that from what I've read on the internet, the YFZ450 should be as close to a 250R Hybrid as we have ever seen. If modded enough to be close to it's dirt bike father in power, and with what Kory Ellis first hand impressions have told us, this bike could be the best ( and maybe slightly better) high performance quad since the R! I am really happy for Yamaha, and I hope Honda can bring some competition to the table in September. I will post another wakeup reminder to Honda.

With all the brand loyalty blindness running ramped on these boards it's nice to see that there's someone else out there that can actually post a non-biased thread. How long before Predator530 comes here and destroys it with his BS?

Well for crying out loud people!!!!!
I would sure as he!! hope that a modern day machine is better than a 14 year old antique! Especially as much as they cost these days! And the mfgr's STILL refuse to build some of us what we really want.
Obviously the Honda was/is legendary... that's why it's still being compared to by all new machines... And Stock for Stock... the new Yammies SHOULD be better. (It SHOULD at well over the twice the initial cost of a 250R)
Modified vs Modified??? My bets on the Honda.
I'm not brand loyal at all.... Just 2-stroke loyal, and yes, there's a difference!

Stock there's no question the yfz has more power and the r might still get it on the very topend but as for handling, reliabilty, and the ability to handle mods, we'll see. I'll put my money on the yfz since it's already as powerful as a pretty high modded r.

Just got off of my buddies 450yfz, power was great but too high geared. Felt like a 250r. This is the bike that 250r4life didn't buy. I like every thing about it. can't wait to see him tonight to give him a bad time.

Sorry about your brother Ridley, has it been very long? I lost a cousin, it was horrific what happened to him. I'm gald I didn't witness it unless I could have somehow stopped it from happening somehow, God bless.
