The YFZ gets a great review from someone that knows way more than most of us.

I found this posted on another site, I can't mention. Let's just say it's a site that really likes my z400 and leave it at that. Anyways someone evidently come on there putting down the yfz450 and a moderator or
someone set him straight. Here's what they posted.
Havent rode the yfz450
I havent rode the machine niether has ISMO obviously after i read this article http://atvscene.com/evaluations/yamaha-yfz-6-16-03.htm
How does it compare to the Suzuki Z400 you've been racing?
"We have a lot of modification on my Suzuki. It's got the full Alba 440 kit on it and then some. After we put the pipe on the Yamaha, the motors were really close in comparison. As far as the handling characteristics go, the Yamaha's rear shock and linkage works far better. The Yamaha has better shocks and a lower center of gravity so it turns and handles much better as well. Put a pipe on the stock Suzuki and one on the stock Yamaha and there is no comparison, the Yamaha pulls way harder and is definitely faster".-Kory Ellis
"Jumping the bike is really fun. With other OEM quads you have to deal with a lot of dead weight. The YFZ is way more maneuverable and effortless in mid air. It's got a really light feel to it and it's balanced very well. By far, it's the best handling and has the best suspension from any manufacturer ever! They really did a good job on it."-Kory Ellis
Who to believe ISMO or Kory Ellis. you decide.
Kory's z440 has so much compression if its cold out you have to drag it to start it, I still like the z400 alot but for someone to come on here and post B.S like he did and yet so many of you ate it up.. the z400 still has plenty going for it, so why not give credit where credit is due. ISMO you are a liar I along with Johnny Gallagher and several others called that. for the rest of you i hope this proves me point.

So Kory Ellis says it's the best handling quad ever. If he ain't just kissin Yamaha's butte, I think that statement is awesome for future YFZ guys. Sounds like you guys might have the new king of the quads. I read something he commented when the LTZ400 came out and while he was very positive about it, he didn't say it was the best handling quad or the most powerful quad he'd ever rode or anything. So I think he really is sincere in his comment about the yamaha. I guess it will take the sting out of losing to one, knowing how great they are. Kind of like when I pull up to a Z06 corvette with my nissan 300zx and rev at him and he guns it and is gone. I fully expect it to happen and just laugh and hope he's stuck at the next red light to do it again. Peace guys.
