The perma grin left just before the ride ended, I cut the sidewall of my right front tire on a rock. So time for some new fronts, but the grin came back when I reliazed I have a set of slighty worn Razor 22-7-10 6 plys I can mount on there. so time to try some new fronts. It wasnt the Bikes or Yamahas fault. I was running hard in 4 gear up a super rocky hill. there are alot of rocks out here in Utah, and this isnt the first time I have cut a sidewall on a stock 2ply tire. I just hope the 22's work good, if not I will buy some 21's

 

I know it's been said at least 10x on here already, but that was the best report so far about the YFZ 450. That was totally unbiased, truthful, concise and way better info than any info stated anywhere on the net so far. Thanks.

Great review, I do disagree with what people are saying though, what you said is just about what Yamaha said, it would out accelerate just about anything stock but had a lower top speed. Sounds just like your review! From what people are saying baffle out and jet it and take the lid off and it's a different animal. Most reviews I have seen said stock it is fast but not much faster than most other quads out right now. They all say it is very plugged up. Kory Ellis said that as did John Arens in his review. I do agree that was a very good honest review though!

My buddy is getting one as soon as it gets to the dealership, I cannot wait to give it a try.

I ride a Raptor..The Predator is a very nice quad and very fast! I like it alot.

just updated my bio and added some pics, One little jump on my YFZ from today and some pics of my friends predators

 

I am Hoping to make it to the dunes this month if the weather will cool down a little, I love this bike and I want to see how it does on some big sand hills, if I havent sold my banshee I will take that with for comparision, and I will invite the piped raptor and predators with. One of the Predators should be piped by then, that will be a instresting race. I will post a DUNE reveiw in a couple of weeks after we tear up Little Sahara Utah. thanks Dave

The dealer should have jetted it for our elevation. My dealer jetted my bro's Z w/ a 125 and mine had a 130. They said mine wouldn't run w/ the 125 in it. Good report CPC my brothers is in and getting it Monday and then Saint Anthonys on thursday..

 

Thanks for a great review!!! The 450 piped, jetted and airbox modded should be quite a screamer. Nice pictures on your gallery also. Enjoy it and please give us future reports.
