i finally got my bike back after the shop took it apart and sent it off to get the header bolt laser milled out. But now that it's back togeather it makes a weird ping like ticking noise when it is running. I haven't have a chance to run it yet, but it runs fine. The shop said they checked the valves 4 times and set them in the middle of whats acceptable on a raptor. They said if they made the valves tighter then it would make the sound less. Anyone know why it makes that sound?

 

If they did anything to make it run hotter or increase compression such as milling it could be that it needs higher octane fuel. It could be the valves also but you said they checked those. So try the higher octane once see what it does. It is a long shot. Have fun
