So far I have found that Zaino - my car "wax" (which isnt a was really) - is best cuz you can just wipe most everything off - without having to power wash it.

My one way and clutch both just went out on me. I guess that is the sacrifice for real power.

How long do they "typically" last?

mine lasted for about a year. You can supposedly make them last longer by not starting them in gear, having the clutch in when you start it, choking it when you start it, not killing it, giving it a little gas when starting it, and not traveling with the bike in gear. hope this helps you

Wow - thats a long list of things to do to keep up the stocker clutch.. sounds like a billet upgrade is in order - as I do all of the things you mentioned not to do .. LOL

Thanks for the info

yeah, me too, lol I had already ordered an OEM Yamaha one and then the L&A designs one was finnaly released. Wouldn't you know it. But, I guess, deep down inside I already knew that that was going to happen. Good luck.

be careful about the carb boots. luckily mine blew off in front of my house. there is no allen key in the tool kit thatll fit the clamps so get your own. luckily i was smart enough to bring the wrench with me out on the trail when i went because they blew off far away from home. it was a pain in the a$$ and i woulda been so so so so f'd because i was far away. be aware of this problem, it can cause you to get stranded and when it pops dirty air can get into your intake like mine probably did. good luck
