My 01's boots have never come off. On the newer raptors do they still have the double white ty straps in front of the clamp?

Warrior 86 your 03 poped the carb boots off i thought they fixed that? Did you get them back on there properly when you rejetted? No the newer raptors dont have the white ty straps they have a clamp.

 

who cares my yz125 would destroy it plus my ds650 would too

 

Yellow rims with the decals would make that sucker look soo nice

 

Mine has the ty straps and the clamps. So your saying on the new raptors they use only the clamps?

These ty straps were on the machine when I purchased it new in early 2001

 

Mine has just the clamp and NO ty straps.

 

I put some pictures in my photo section of the left and right side intake area. You can see the TY straps right in front of the clamp. There is 2 straps on each intake that have been linked together.

lowerburrell I hope your not talking about your 125 destroying a Raptor and your DS650 destroying the Raptor either. I raced both, smoked them. If I would have had more room, the 125 would have been about 20-30 quads back. I also raced a 250 and it was whoever came out of the whole better, but I wasn't able to get it out of 3rd gear, it was a small strip. Thats when I was all stock too.

are you telling me my boots may have zip ties on them?? I'm gonna find a flashlight and go look! theyve never blown off, as i keep my idle speed up where the book says it should be.

i just went out and looked, and mine dont have any zip ties on them. I bought it new! I ve never had a boot blow off either. hmm. what next? a free transmission update? hehe

 

by the looking at the zip ties they are very tightly pulled.
